Popcorn Machines and Supplies
- Popcorn machine.Rental popcorn machines come in a variety of sizes from small to large. Usually the popcorn machines consist of a kettle in a glass case. Typical kettles on these machines can hold 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 ounces of popped popcorn. When the popcorn in the kettle finishes cooking, the operator can dump it into the case. Then, a heat lamp keeps the popcorn in the case warm until the time comes to pack it up for distribution. Rental popcorn machines often rely on oil to make the popcorn, but some use air. Some popcorn machines come with their own cart or stand.
- Popcorn warmer.Equipped with a heat lamp, this rental item enables you to serve warm popcorn that you did not have to pop yourself. Be sure to ask your rental professional if they also carry the pre-popped popcorn for these machines.
- Wheeled popcorn carts or stands. While a stable table or counter usually will do for resting the popcorn cart on, a wheeled cart or stand designed especially for the popcorn machine offers a place for the popcorn machine and also advertises the popcorn you will make because they usually have “Popcorn” written on them. They also often contain storage areas for extra supplies.
- Popcorn signs.A “Popcorn” lighted sign is an option for drawing attention to your product. Check on availability of these signs at the rental store where you rent your popcorn machine.
- Popcorn bags, boxes, cups and buckets. Many rental stores carry these printed containers. Styles of boxes include those that you can use to scoop the popcorn or ones that have tops that close. You also often can use cups and buckets to scoop the popcorn.
- To make popcorn, you need corn. Most rental stores that rent popcorn machines also sell popcorn, oil and flavorings. Some rental stores may include supplies in the cost of the rental.
- Do not forget additional items that you will need to make your popcorn experience complete. These items may include a popcorn scoop and kettle cleaner.
