- Charcoal grills. For people who love the flavor of charcoal, a charcoal grill remains a favorite rental item. Charcoal grills come in small, portable units featuring casters and folding or removable legs to large, tow-behind units. Covered charcoal grills may feature either a single door or double doors, which allow you to cook on both sides when you have a large crowd or use one side for serving if you have a smaller group. For added interest, some charcoal grills come in unique shapes, such as a train. You can use wood-chips instead of charcoal in many charcoal grills.
- Gas grills. Rental gas grills also come in portable and tow-behind units. These grills typically require ceramic briquettes to generate cooking heat. Gas grills usually offer multiple burners for even heat distribution. They also may feature stainless-steel surfaces and either single or double doors. Some gas grills let you add charcoal or wood chips for added flavor.
- Multi-purpose grills. Some rental grills combine a grill with a smoker, roaster, rotisserie, steamer, slow cooker, side burners or griddle to offer more versatility. For example, you can use a grill that includes a steamer to cook meats, while steaming vegetables.
- Tailgate grill. This type of rental grill offers the perfect choice for tailgate parties, roadside picnics or camping trips. Some smaller tailgate grills run off power from your vehicle’s hitch, while you can tow larger, propane gas models.
- Grill accessories. Rental stores often sell or rent a wide variety of accessories for use with a rented grill. These grill accessories may include drip or ash pans, carving knives/forks, basting brushes, meat thermometers, spatulas/tongs, skewers, charcoal or hardwood briquettes, wood chips, gravel, lighter fluid, cleaning items, rubs or seasonings, aprons, oven mitts and grilling books.
